PURPOSE:To enable the heat treatment or drying treatment before and/or after the irradiation of an electron beam by providing an irradiation part in a box body, and further furnishing a heater to form a self-shielding electron beam irradiation device. CONSTITUTION:The low-energy type electron beam irradiation device is arranged at the irradiation part 1, and an electron beam is projected on a body 13 to be irradiated through an irradiation window 5. The box body 2 consists of an irradiation chamber 8 and a passage 9 for the body 13, a lead sheet, etc., are stuck on the inner wall of the box body 2, and the passage 9 is bent and extended from the irradiation chamber 8 to complete the shielding. The irradiation chamber 8 is positioned under the irradiation window 5, and an inert gas supply port 6 and a discharge port 6' are provided. A shielding plate 7 extending from the upper end to the lower part and a shielding plate 7' extending from the lower end to the upper part are furnished respectively at the inlet and outlet of the window 5 to the extent that the movement of the body 13 is not disturbed, and the shielding is completed. |
