PURPOSE:To eliminate the occurrence of poor stacking by forming a stacker part for a continuous sheet of paper into a stepped bench and providing a guide plate on its upper part, in the stacker of a copying machine, etc. CONSTITUTION:A continuous sheet of paper 3 which is piled up on a stepped stacker bench 1 is prevented from disorderly projecting out of the stacker, due to the stepped bench. At the same time, the swelling of the sheet of paper 3 out of the stacker can be prevented by a guide plate 2. In this case, the distance 4 between the folded sheet of paper 3 and the guide plate 2 is detected by a pile fin so as to be kept constant, and the stepped stacker bench 1 is gradually lowered in accordance with the loaded quantity of the sheet of paper by the action of a lowering motor. Thus, by slightly varying the form of the stacker, the occurrence of poor stacking can be prevented.
