PURPOSE:To avoid a runaway and the confusion of a microprocessor control circuit and to simply a circuit operation by loading and unloading an application cartridge into and out of an extend slot without sending an instruction to a master CPU from an operator and therefore controlling automatically said control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A load/unload detecting part 1 detects that an application cartridge is loaded into an extend slot 2 and a master CPU 5 controls a slave CPU 3. Thus the CPU 3 carries out the cartridge software. When the cartridge is pulled out of the slot 2, the part 1 detects this unloading state of the cartridge and the CPU 5 sends a control signal to the CPU 3. Thus the execution of the software is stopped or interrupted. Simultaneously, the CPU 5 controls an I/O controller 4 and releases the occupation right of the CPU 3 for an I/O circuit 6. Thus a microprocessor control circuit is controlled with loading/ unloading states of the cartridge. Furthermore the runaway and the confusion of the control circuit are avoided together with the simplified operation of the circuit.
