PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in efficiency and yield of the fractional drying of large and small tiles, by installing a cantilever-form intermediate conveyor, to be connected to a delivery side conveyor, in the lower part of a drying tower, and constituting it to be capable of delivering these tiles with comb-toothlike cross at an interval with each rack box vertically circulating inside the drying tower. CONSTITUTION:When a rack box 23 traveling on an endless chain 20 is circulated, a rack rod (unillustrated herein) constituting this rack box 23 passes through vertically in space between intermediate conveyors 2 and 3 constituted of plural cantilever-form endless belts in a comb-toothlike manner, whereby delivery of tiles is carried out between these intermediate conveyors 2 and 3. Therefore, at the time of a large-sized tile, the endless chain 20 is circulatorily traveled whereby it transferentially travels in order from the carry-in conveyor 2-the intermediate conveyor 3-the endless chain 20-an intermediate conveyor 4-a carry- out conveyor 5, thus drying takes place. At the time of a small tile, the endless chain 20 is stopped, having the delivery performed directly between these intermediate conveyors 3 and 4. With this constitution, efficiency and yield of the fractional drying of these large and small tiles are improved.
