PURPOSE:To improve safety and productivity, by employing a combined mechanism of a longitudinal effect type lamination piezoelectric ceramic and a lever in order to reduce the volume of a pressure chamber in a print head, thereby lowering the pules voltage to be applied onto the piezoelectric ceramic. CONSTITUTION:One end portion 39 of a F-shaped lever 38 is secured to the vicinity of respective pressure chambers on the outer face of a print head 1 manufactured by laminating and jointing substrates 11-14, and a fulcrum 40 in the central portion is secured to the outside face of the print head 1. A piezoelectric ceramic mechanism 5 comprising a longitudinal effect type laminated piezoelectric ceramic 42 is fixed between the other end 41 of said lever 38 and the outer face. Upon application of voltage from a pulse generator onto said ceramic 42, the ceramic d2 extends to push up one end portion 41 of the lever 38, thereby the other end portion 39 is pushed down. Consequently, volume of a pressure chamber 27 decreases, and pressure is applied onto the ink in the pressure chamber 27 so as to eject an ink drip 6 through a nozzle 25. Consequently, pulse voltage being applied onto the piezoelectric ceramic can be lowered to a great extent. |
