PURPOSE:To carry out secure suction conveyance by providing a pressure barrel in which plural small suction holes connect its deep cavity which is parallel to a center shaft to an outer peripheral face, and rotating said pressure barrel while bringing the opening part of said cavity into pressure contact with a block on which a recessed groove is partially provided. CONSTITUTION:A deep cavity 9 is provided inside the outer peripheral face of a pressure barrel 5 which is rotated together with a rotary shaft 8. The cavity 9 sucks outer air through plural small holes 10. The opening part 14 of the deep cavity 9 is resiliently brought into contact with a block 12 by means of a spring 13 provided on a fixed part 11. The block 12 is provided on a de fined section along the circumferential direction, and a recessed groove 16 is connected to a vacuum pump. A sheet of paper (a) which is sent from an upper course and arrived at the pressure barrel 5 is attracted to the pressure barrel 5 at the section where there is the block 12 and discharged to the lower course when it passed through the section of the block 12. Thereby, the suction conveyance of sheets of paper can be securely carried out.
