PURPOSE:To judge the product working quality of a work speedily by supporting a spindle head through a swing means and arranging a means for swinging the spindle head to the position separating from a tool and arranging a measuring mechanism oppositely to a work positioned at the above-described position. CONSTITUTION:The noncircular inner wall part of a work W is ground by the action of all external cam-shaped master cam 52 and a touch roller. Then, a measuring mechanism (air micro 128, etc.) for judging if a prescribed grinding process for the workpiece W is achieved or not without demounting the workpiece W from a jig 50 is set. Therefore, the need of demounting the work once from the jig and conveying the work for the measuring mechanism arranged separately as in the conventional technique is avoided, and the product working quality of the work W can be judged speedily and in simple ways.
