INTERCHANGEABLE INTERFACE CIRCUITRY ARAANGEMENTS FOR USE WITH A DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM

The DP system is enabled to interchangeably use any one of a number of data signal responsive devices. The device to enable the system has a number of circuit mounting devices with each formed to have at least one interface circuit mounted upon it. A number of slots are formed to enable any of the circuit mounting devices to be interchanged with any of the slots. Each of the slots is formed to have electrical terminals connected to the bus circuitry of the DP system. A first circuit is connected to the memory via the bus and is formed to receive and decode sets of address signals. Each set of address signals designates a differente one of the slots.
