PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of wear between a drum and a transfer roller and the generation of dirt on the transfer roller by forming the drum integrally with a transfer means such as the conductive transfer roller. CONSTITUTION:The transfer roll 12 seruing as a conductive transfer means is obtained by forming a conductive elastic body 31 around a core 12 and forming a flexible insulating thin film 30 around the surface of the elastic body 31. Large diameter parts 40 slightly larger than the center part 41 of the roll 12 for passing a transfer material are formed on both the end parts and the large diameter parts 40 are abutted upon the drum 1 to keep the interval 42 between the drum 1 and the roller 12 at a fixed value. The drum 1 and the roller 12 are combined with other process equipment and formed integrally with a cartridge. Consequently, the wear between both the surfaces of the drum and the conductive transfer means can be prevented and the surface of the transfer meanscan be prevented and the surface of the transfer means can be prevented from becoming dirty.
