<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the titled device using the titled IC by providing a waveform shaping circuit shaping an input signal between an input terminal and a drive IC so as to eliminate the need for replacement of the drive IC of the device main body. CONSTITUTION:A waveform shaping circuit 38 shapes the waveform of a signal 34-1 sent from the device main body 32 and gives the result to the drive IC 8. The signal 34-1 being waveform-shaped is a clock signal of a shift register in,e.g., the drive IC 8. If a clock signal 38 is inputted from the device main body while being modified, the clock signal is shaped as shown in a waveform 40 by an inverter 24 of the waveform shaping circuit 38 and shaped as shown in waveform 42 by an inverter 22. Thus, even when the signal sent from the device main body is modified, a thermal head or the like is activated with less noise. Thus, the replacement of the drive IC of the device main body is not required.</p> |
