PURPOSE:To require no memory for writing picture data by latching picture data successively fed at a constant period for prescribed number of data and thinning out the data in a constant timing according to a mode signal set corre spondingly to the number of the picture elements of a liquid crystal display part. CONSTITUTION:The titled controller is provided with plural first latch circuits L1-L3 sequentially latching the picture data successively fed at the constant cycle in different timings, a second latch circuit L4 simultaneously reading and latching this latched data, data selectors 11, 12 thinning out the plural data latched to the second latch circuit L4 in the constant timing and selecting, the liquid crystal display part 26 displaying the selected data, means 16, 17 switching and selecting the mode M corresponding to the number of the picture elements of the liquid crystal part and control means 14, 15 controlling the number of thinning out of the data selector according to a mode signal set by the means 16, 17. Accordingly, the picture data can be equally thinned out according to the number of the picture elements of the LCD without interposing a memory.
