PURPOSE:To prevent fenders from being bent and increase their yield strength, by fitting the shore side of the vertically connected fenders into an internal cylinder fixed on the shore side, and by fitting the internal cylinder into an external cylinder fixed on the shore side, to be firmly arranged. CONSTITUTION:Two fenders 3 consisting of round-tubular rubber columns are connected in series and used; between the fenders, a larger-diameter internal cylinder 4 of the length which is roughly the half of that of the fender 3 on the mooring column side is retained and fixed. Then, the internal cylinder 4 is fitted into an external cylinder 5, and the mooring column side end surface of the fenders 3 is fixed, and the external cylinder 5 is embedded in a mooring column 2 and is fixed. As a result, when a force in applied to the fenders 3, then the fender section covered with the internal cylinder 4 is deformed in the cylinder 4, and the cylinder 4 is guide-retained by the external cylinder 5, and so the fenders 3 are not bent aside, and even when the applied force is abnormally great, then the function of the fenders can be sufficiently kept.
