PURPOSE:To make a line of chime for informing the arrival of a guest unneces sary by allowing a telephone outlet to be used as the chime for informing arri val of the guest. CONSTITUTION:When the push-button switch 4 for the chime informing arrival of the guest is pushed, the operation signal of that execution is detected by a chime push-button operating and detecting part 11 and such of the chime is decided by a control circuit 15. Based on this judgement, the control circuit 15 supplies a selecting signal so as to use a sort of the output sound signals a sound source generation part 12 as the sound signal of the sound of chime for informing arrival of the guest and simultaneously outputs the selected and formed sound signal of the sound source generation part 12 to each telephone outlet by the control lines L3 and L4 of each internal line L through the relay joints 221... and etc., of extension connection relays Ry41... and etc., and reproduces and informs the result with the aid of the speaker of a main device. Then, the chime is sounded from the speaker of each telephone outlet through the control lines L3 and L4.
