PURPOSE:To attain the adjustment of an oscillating frequency by adding a metallic plate to the upper wall in an oscillator case with a gap to a dielectric base so as to eliminate the uncertainty of the oscillation by a metallic body inserted to the upper side of a dielectric resonator. CONSTITUTION:A FET 6 is used as an active element, a microstrip line is connected to the gate, a metallic screw 2 is inserted from the outside of a case 1 above the dielectric resonator coupled magnetically with the microstrip line to vary the oscillating frequency. A metallic plate 3 is adhered to the inner upper wall of the oscillator case 1 by an adhesives or the like. When no metallic plate is added in a conventional example (shown in broken lines), the oscillation output level is changed largely by the insertion of the metallic screw 2, while the oscillation output level is almost unchanged by the addition of the metallic plate 3 (shown in solid lines), only the oscillating frequency is increased stably.
