PURPOSE:To enable effective fixing by heating with a high frequency heater by using water-contg. capsules of <=1mu diameter in a toner for a liq. developer. CONSTITUTION:When a liq. developer is composed of aliphat. hydrocarbon as a liq. carrier and toner particles dispersed in the liq. carrier, the toner is obtd. by mixing 20-80wt.% water-contg. capsules of <=1mu diameter with a colorant, resin and a solvent. The capsules are hollow fine particles of styrene resin or acrylic resin and can freely take in and release water. Thus, high frequency fixing can be effectively carried out and adaptation to a high-speed developing machine is enabled by the high frequency fixing combined optionally with fixing with a heater. |
