PURPOSE:To compact a device main body by forming a paper discharge tray on the upper surface of a device case, and at the same time, making the conveying path of a recording paper be curved, and further, installing a cutter part at the end part of the conveying path. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper storing part 16 and the paper discharge tray 15 are connected with each other through the curved conveying path 17. The cutter part 18 is installed in the vicinity of the received recording paper discharging opening 13 in the conveying path 17, and a recording part 19 is installed at the inner side of said cutter part 18. The cutter part 18 is provided with a fixed blade 18a and a rotary blade 18b, and the rotary blade 18b is positioned at an upper position. The recording paper 20a is conveyed principally by a platen roller 19b through the curved conveying path 17, and recorded by a recording head 19a. The recorded part of the recording paper 10a is discharged successively into the paper discharge tray 15 through the cutter part 18 in the terminal end of the conveying path 17.
