PURPOSE:To economically deliver and transfer various types of data by using a channel for a monitor signal used between exchanges connected by R2-digital lines or between exchange units and transferring information required between the exchanges or the exchange units. CONSTITUTION:When it is required to count up the data considered to be one station (traffic observing data or automatic centralized detail accounting data), or when routing control data according to a congestion is transferred to an opposed unit and an optimum alternate processing is executed, at the time of displaying an information transfer request signal or a transfer previous notice signal discriminated from an ordinary line signal on a signal channel, it is triggered and the data (for instance BCD code) is transferred to a remote unit in a recognition form. The data uses the signal channel of 4 bits and is transferred to the remote unit. Thereby, in a data transfer procedure, a special protocol is not required but the data is transferred in the recognition form, so that the data can be economically and effectively transferred.
