PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of moires generated at the time of displaying a demodulated signal even though an input signal wide in a band is modulated by fixing the phase of a frequency modulation signal to a prescribed phase in a prescribed timing. CONSTITUTION:Based on the detecting results of detecting circuits 11-13, the signal level of an input signal SV4 is corrected and the phase of the frequency modulation signal SFV1 is fixed to the prescribed phase in the timing of a sampling pulse SP3. Namely, since the phase of the frequency modulation signal SFV1 is fixed to the prescribed phase in the timing of the sampling pulse SP3 repeated in a timing synchronizing with a synchronizing signal SYNC, the drift of the carrier frequency of the frequency modulation signal SFV1 can be reduced. Thereby, even when the band of an input signal SV 5 is widen, the drift of the carrier frequency can be reduced and the generation of the moires can be prevented.
