PURPOSE:To prohibit the write to high and low track density floppy disks with different drive devices respectively from each other by positioning a write detecting position of a 2nd miserasing preventing mechanism for a high track density drive device to a position with no detecting means for a low track density drive CONSTITUTION:The high track density floppy disk 9 is provided with a 1st miserasing preventing mechanism 11 for the low track density drive device and the 2nd miserasing preventing mechanism 3 for the high track density drive device on the opposite side of the mechanism 11. The detecting position S for detecting whether write is feasible or not in the 2nd miserasing preventing mechanism is placed in a position of non-detecting means for the low track density drive, where the miserasing preventing condition can be detected with the low track density disk under miserasing preventing state. In this way, without increasing a detecting part for the high track density floppy disk 9 and a sensor for the drive device, write is impossible to the high track density floppy disk 9 and low track density floppy disk with the different drive device from one another.
