PURPOSE:To match the contrast of the liquid crystal display elements of respective layers and to improve display quality by providing means for regulating the driving voltage to be impressed to each of the liquid crystal display element of the respective layers. CONSTITUTION:A driving circuit 12, which is connected with two variable resistors VR1, VR2 to a power supply E in parallel, impresses the voltage (V1>V2) of V1, V2 respectively voltage-divided from the source voltage to the upper liquid crystal display element 1 and the lower liquid crystal display element 2. The voltages V1, V2 are respectively independently regulatable by the resistors VR1, VR2. In the case of, for example, a liquid crystal display device having two-layered structure, the display contrast thereof can be matched by setting the driving voltage of the lower liquid crystal display element which is denser in display than the upper part with the same driving voltage to the voltage slightly lower than the voltage of the upper part.
