摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a radiation-image conversion screen emitting green light matching with the spectral sensitivity of an orthochromatic film and having high sensitivity, by coating a base with a fluorescent material layer composed of a specific terbium-activated gadolinium-yttrium orthophosphate fluorescent material layer. CONSTITUTION:The objective radiation-image conversion screen can be produced by applying a fluorescent material layer consisting of a terbium-activated gadolinium-yttrium orthophosphate fluorescent material expressed by formula [0.1<=x<=0.65 (preferably 0.15<=x<=0.50); 0.01<=y<=0.2 (preferably 0.02<=y<=0.1)] to a surface of a base composed of paper, plastic, etc., at an areal weight of preferably 20-180mg/cm<2>. The fluorescent material can be produced e.g. by mixing fluorescent material raw materials consisting of a gadolinium compound, an yttrium compound, a terbium compound and a phosphorus compound, etc., putting the mixture into a refractory vessel, calcining at about 1,000-1,200 deg.C for about 1-10hr and crushing and cleaning the calcined product.
