MANUFACTURE OF INNER FACE SILVER CLAD ALUMINUM PIPE

PURPOSE:To form the clad pipe of good accuracy even if the inner face silver layer is thin by performing the pipe forming of the compound billet consisting of a silver pipe and aluminum alloy pipe with performing the interface joining of the inner layer and outer layer by a hydrostatic extrusion method. CONSTITUTION:The compound billet 31 consisting of a silver pipe 21 as the inner layer, an aluminum alloy pipe 22 as the outer layer and a plug 23 is formed. A pipe making is performed by fitting this compound billet 31 to a hydrostatic extrusion device and with performing the interface joining of the silver pipe 21 of the inner layer and the aluminum alloy pipe 22 of the outer layer via a pressure medium 33 and die 36. A stabilized manufacture of the inner face silver clad aluminum alloy pipe can thus be performed by holding the dimensional accuracy well even in the case of the thickness of the inner face silver clad layer being extremely thin line <=50mum.
