The fastener has a curved base (1) with a longitudinal opening (7). An arm (2), fitting into the opening, pivots on a hinge (4) at one end of the base. The other end (6) of the base is flat and one part of the bracelet is fixed to this. The bracelet has its other part fixed to a bar (3) that can slide along the arm. Two elastic studs (11,11') on the bar fit against the edges (12) of the opening when the arm is folded down, and hold the bar in position along the arm. The internal walls of the opening can have notches in which the studs enqage. USE/ADVANTAGE - The fastener is for a bracelet, mainly a watch bracelet, and its length can be adjusted.
