PURPOSE:To prevent the detachment of a microplate during feed or the outflow of the reagent in each well, by a method wherein the side edges of the microplate are brought into engagement with the engaging grooves of a pair of conveyor belts and the microplate is fed while the rising and falling operation thereof at a predetermined pitch is performed. CONSTITUTION:Rising and falling conveyor units 43, 44 have a pair of conveyor belts having engaging grooves engaging with the side edges of a microplate 1 arranged thereto in mutually opposed relationship. A loader unit 45 inserts the feed plate of the microplate between a pair of the conveyor belts of the units 43, 44 and allows the side edges of the microplate 1 to engage with the opposed engaging grooves of the conveyor belts through the rising and falling operation of the conveyor belts at a predetermined pitch. An unloader 46 releases the engagement of the side edges of the microplate with the engaging grooves to feed out the microplate 1 held between a pair of the conveyor belts.
