PURPOSE:To prevent freezing of a power supply device even in the use in a cold area at up to -30 deg.C by measuring a temperature and sulfuric acid concentration of an electrolyte in an anolyte tank and controlling the sulfuric acid concentration. CONSTITUTION:A temperature and sulfuric acid concentration of an electrolyte in an anolyte tank of a fuel cell is measured, and when a measured concentration becomes below a set value to a measured temperature, a control valve 7 is made to be ON-OFF control and sulfuric acid from a sulfuric acid tank 8 is supplied to an anolyte tank 2. When the sulfuric acid control valve 7 is turned ON, the sulfuric acid concentration in the anolyte tank is always maintained at a concentration necessary for freeze proofing as sulfuric acid is supplied until the sulfuric acid concentration reaches a set value. This enables freezing of a fuel cell to be eliminated. |
