<p>PURPOSE:To avoid any abnormality and to perform the efficient operation by controlling at least one of an oil cooler, bearing distance, and dewatering wiper gap based on information of abnormality from an AE diagnosing device. CONSTITUTION:AE sensors 3A, 3B are fixed on sliding shafts 2A, 2B of a backup roll 1 of a rolling mill and their outputs are inputted to a signal discriminant circuit 5, which processes sensor outputs, generates caution or danger signals, and performs a prescribed control through a mill controller 10. In the case of a caution signal of damage to a radial face, lubricating oil is cooled by actuation of an oil cooler 14 and in the case of a caution signal of thrust contact, a bearing distance is adjusted through a hydraulic controller 15, and in the case of a caution signal of rubbing, a dewatering wiper gap is adjusted through a regulator 17. Thus, the mill is prevented from accidents without stopping operation and performs efficient operations.</p> |
