<p>PURPOSE:To recycle a Cu-coated NbTi material by a method wherein a Cu- coating of a surplus Cu-coated NbTi material is melted and removed to take out the Nb-Ti material, plural Nb-Ti materials are assembled to be filled into a billet for being hot extruded followed by performing a drawing processing in order to obtain a desirably-shaped Nb-Ti alloy rod. CONSTITUTION:A Cu-coating of a surplus Cu-coated NbTi rod unable to be used as an product in the manufacture of a Cu/NbTi superconductive linear material is melted and removed to take out an Nb-Ti material followed by assembling the plural number of them for being filled into an Nb, NbTi or Cu billet to make several pieces of Ni-Ti en bloc by hot extrusion for being made into a desirably-shaped Nb-Ti alloy rod after performing a drawing processing. That is the materials of different sizes and in a small stock or unable to be used due to inferior elasticity of a segment and consenquently unusable as a segment as it is, the Cu-coating on their surfaces are removed, then the large number of them are assembled to be compositely processed for being made en blok. Thereby, a desirably-shaped Nb-Ti rod in a large quantity to some extent can be obtained, thereby making it possible to recycle surplus Nb-Ti material.</p> |
