PURPOSE:To automatically and completely remove a slag in a recessed part on a roller surface by removing the slag caused by to a flux to be used, by the hitting action of the tip of a needle bundle, at the time of build-up welding the peripheral surface of the roller, etc., by a submerged arc welding method. CONSTITUTION:The object to be processed R of a roller, etc., of a bulldozer to be brought to build-up welding is attached so as to be freely rotatable to a holding frame 5 attached to a support 1, and also, a submerged arc welding machine provided with a flux hopper 14, a flux nozzle 13 and a welding torch 12 is allowed to descend onto the roller R surface by a guide beam 15, and while moving it to the right and left directions, build-up welding is executed onto the roller R surface by the welding torch 12. In this case, a slag generated due to the melting of a flux adheres onto the surface of the roller R brought to build-up welding. By vibrating and hitting the stuck slag by a needle bundle 42 attached to a hitting device and removing it, while rotating the roller R, the stuck slag on the roller R surface is removed automatically and completely. |
