PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of an electromotive or sealing performance with pressure arisen in a state where a differential pressure is not produced between each line by making down stream sides joined as well as commonly connecting each line to a carbon dioxide supply source, and rising each line pressure to a given pressure with a pressure control valve inserted into a joining path controlled. CONSTITUTION:A purge gas conduction line 15 conducting a purge gas into a storing vessel 2, a fuel gas conducting line 13 and oxidant gas conducting line 14 of a molten carbonate fuel cell 1 are commonly connected to a carbon dioxide supply source 8 before the fused carbonate fuel cell 1 is made to start its operation. And downstream sides of each line is made to join, a pressure of each line is made to rise to a given pressure by controlling a pressure control valve 26 inserted in a joining path 18. This enables each line to be risen by the same pressure, a flow out to a gas passage of the molten carbonate easily occurred in pressure rising or lowering of a seal performance of a wet seal part to be prevented. |
