PURPOSE:To continuously display a running route at the time of restarting after temporary parking, by detecting the open state of the ignition switch of a moving body and storing and holding position data only for a set time. CONSTITUTION:The running distance and direction of a moving body are detected by detectors 1, 2 with the running of the moving body and the position of the moving body on two-dimensional coordinates at every unit running distance is calculated on the basis of the outputs of said detectors by a signal processing apparatus 3 and the data thereof is stored and displayed on a display device 5. When an ignition switch IG.SW is cut off because of temporary parking for the sake of the supply of gasoline on the way of running, this state is detected by a power source control circuit 7 and the memory data is held to the apparatus 3 only for a set time by a current supply order for continuing the supply of a current to the apparatus 3 only for the set time and an alarm is operated to inform said state. Subsequently, when running is reopened within the set time, the accurate display of a running route is immediately and continuously performed on the basis of the data stored in and displayed on the apparatus 3 up to that time. |
