The grease gun has a cylinder (12) inside which slides a piston (25) to compress the grease. The cylinder is located inside a housing (11) with the space between the housing and the cylinder filled with compressed gas. This replaces the conventional spring, or the hydraulic force usually used to operate the greasing piston. The top of the cylinder is located in a shoulder in the housing and the housing is closed by a plate (13) on which are the grease nipple, filling nipple and overpressure control valve. USE - Greasing system for automatic weapons give effective greasing at low temp., no external servo force required.
