PURPOSE:To give an excellent emboss forming property and contrive to improve the durability of a press roll by a structure wherein two kinds of heat-resistant rubbers having specified hardnesses respectively are laminated in order onto the outer periphery of a roll core. CONSTITUTION:A press roll 1 is made up by respectively laminating an inner layer rubber 3, having a hardness of Hs. JIS A 70-90, onto the outside of a roll core 2, and an outer layer rubber 4, having a hardness of Hs. JIS A 50-60, onto the outside of the inner layer rubber 3. The inner layer rubber 3 reduces the deformation of rubber, which is caused by the pressurizing force produced by the pressure-fixing between the press roll and an embossing roll at pressing, and consequently improve the durability of the press roll. And, the outer layer rubber 4 gives an excellent emboss forming property in the reproduction of hologram. The necessary material properties as the inner layer rubber 2 and the outer layer rubber 3 are resistance against the heat generated during embossing and wide range of rubber hardness. The most preferable material to be used is silicone rubber. |
