Binder is based on a 55-89 wt. %, pref. 75-85 wt. % latent hydraulic blast furnace slag with a synthetically mfd. Ca sulphate carrier, produced from flue gas desulphurisation or dilute acid neutralisation. The slag is pref. a glassy solidified, granulated milled product. Portland cement clinker or lime can be added to initiate and promote reaction, in a proportion of 1-5, pref. 1-2 wt. %. The binder is used in a prportion of 30-70 wt. % with 70-30 wt. % of a filler, such as fly ash, volcanic ash or electrostatic filter ash, while a further addn. can be made of unreactive material, such as limestone.
