PURPOSE:To simplify a tray feed mechanism in its structure by forming the cross section of each leading part of post guides and a threader guide to be a slant side surface in such a fashion that the more inner the part of the leading part position the smaller the cross section area and forming also each tip of both guides that the nearer to the tip the narrower the slant side surface. CONSTITUTION:When a tray 2 housing a magnetic tape cartridge 1 is moved by a tray feed mechanism in the direction of an arrow X, each tip of positioning posts 32a, and 32b is led into the inner part along a slant side surface forming a leading part of each of post guides 22a and 22b respectively to couple with each of their post fixing parts. Simultaneously with this, an arm leading part of a threader arm 31 is brought into the interior along a slant side surface forming a leading part of a threader arm guide 21, passing over this threader arm guide 21 so that a leader block 11 is coupled with its leader block coupling part. Since then the threader arm 31 pulls out the leader block 11 from the magnetic tape cartridge 1.
