The filter press has a rotary drum with axis-parallel press chambers at intervals round its periphery, each open in the radial direction to the outside and covered with a sleeve. Inside each chamber is a press member, thrust in the radial direction by a fluid system. A drive mechanism indexes the chambers past a filling station for the material, and a discharge station for the residue from the latter. USE/ADVANTAGE - For pressing fruit pulp, grapes etc. with simple, low-cost design for continuous operation.
