Various demands are made on the connection between the drawbar tube and the front transverse part of the trailer. On the one hand, the intention is that all of the moments of load occurring at this point, including adequate reserves, can be absorbed, on the other hand, the intention is that this connection be releasable, that it likewise have a low dead weight and that it be cheap to produce. By virtue of the shaping of the mounting bracket all requirements are achieved in that the mounting bracket can be cut out of sheet metal using a maximum of just five cuts, 3 holes for the bolted fastening are punched in and two ends, which taper to a point, are bent off at right angles. The angled-off, short ends are welded onto the drawbar tube longitudinally with respect to the direction of travel. The flat, long legs which thus protrude at right angles to the drawbar tube and taper to a blunt point are bolted such that they lie flat by means of bolts to the front transverse part of the trailer. The course of the forces along this connection runs with respect to the drawbar tube into the vertical leg of the front transverse part and is distributed in each case to the right and left outwards to the main side members.
