PURPOSE:To prevent a labor and time to repeat a call from being forced when no response is obtained from an opponent and to enable call emission or response to an incoming call to be performed during a re-call, by providing an automatic re-call function. CONSTITUTION:When an extension subscriber A dials the extension number of an extension subscriber B and no response is obtained from the B, the A hangs up a handset once, and after raising the handset again and hearing an outgoing tone, and hearing the confirming tone of the completion of the dial setting of an access code and the extension number of the B, hangs up the handset. After the lapse of a prescribed time, a central controller CC starts the automatic re-call to the B by re-call information in a memory part MM. When no response is obtained from the B after a prescribed time of call, the call is interrupted once. Again, after the lapse of the prescribed time, a second re-call is started. Such operation is repeated for a prescribed number of times. Also, when the re-call is performed, the central controller CC interrupts the re-call by raising the handset by the A, and thereby, a state possible to respond by the B while the A is in busy can be prevented from occurring.
