PURPOSE:To separate a camera body from a photographer to increase the degree of freedom in a photographer's position and to prevent a transmitter from being lost by detaching the attachable/detachable remote control transmitter from the camera body and receiving origination from the transmitter by the camera body. CONSTITUTION:When the attachable/detachable remote control transmitter 2 is detached from the camera body 1 and the photographer 8 depresses a transmission key 3, a signal is sent from an originating window 4, made incident upon a receiving window 5 on the camera body and decided as a control signal by a receiver 6 and the control signal is sent to a shutter control mechanism 7 to control a shutter. Since the camera body is completely separated from the photographer, the bad influence of vibration is not generated. In addition, the degree of freedom in the photographer's position is increased, the photographer himself can be allowed to be an object and the transmitter can be prevented from being lost because it can be attached to the camera body. When the transmitter is attached to the camera body, shutter is driven by depressing a shutter button.
