PURPOSE:To optimize the operation of a 3-way solenoid valve having an atmosphere side opening by interposing the valve in a vacuum pipe communicating between an actuator for driving a suction throttle valve and a vacuum pump and making the valve work when a accelerator switch and an oil pressure switch are on. CONSTITUTION:In an engine where a suction throttle valve 17 opened or closed with an actuator 19 operated with vacuum introduced from a vacuum pump 18 is interposed in a suction pipe 16, a 3-way solenoid valve 21 is interposed in the middle of a vacuum pipe 20 communicating between the vacuum pump 18 and the actuator 19. The solenoid 21a of the solenoid valve 21 is energized with a power source of a battery 22 through a series circuit of an ignition switch 23, an oil pressure switch 24 and an accelerator switch 25. It is so arranged that the oil pressure switch 24 is turned on when an engine oil pressure having a correlation with the oil temperature goes below a preset value and that the accelerator switch 25 is turned on when the engine is idling or decelerating.
