PURPOSE:To easily shape the documents by using a document style analyzing function to point out the errors of punctuation marks, the corresponding errors of parentheses, the description errors of dividing symbols and the punctuation marks following the parentheses, the plural same character strings contained in a single sentence, etc. CONSTITUTION:A disk 10 storing the documents produced by a word processor is set and a style analysis instruction is given via a keyboard 8. Thus a processor 1 reads the documents out of the disk 10 based on the instruction codes received from a style analyzing function 4 and checks the errors of punctuation marks, the corresponding errors of parentheses, the description errors of the dividing symbols and punctuation marks following the parentheses, the same character strings contained in a single sentence, etc. The results of these check items are arranged for production of a correction indicting document which is stored in the disk 10. As a result, the correcting points of the documents produced by the word processor can be recognized by printing said correction indicating document by a printer 12. Thus it is possible to avoid.
