PURPOSE:To directly designate a specific color as seeing it and to eliminate it afterwards by constituting the titled processor so that a specific color is designated by means of area-designation, then the color is eliminated from the whole original, and making the density data of R, G, B variable within a range at the time of processing the specific color numerically. CONSTITUTION:In an image processing circuit 203, a specific color elimination circuit 301 eliminates a specific color shown in a designated area from the whole original, then subtractive three primary color signals C, M, Y and a black signal Bk are generated by the circuits in the stages after a correcting circuit 302, and the generated data are supplied to a laser driver. In such a case, the circuit 301 read out the respective picture element data in the designated area from a frame memory 202, and obtains the maximum and the minimum values of respective data R, G, B; if the density data of the R, G, B come between the maximum value and the minimum value, the colors are made the specific colors. Thereafter, if the colors of respective picture elements in the frame memory 202 are the same as these specific colors, the R, G, B are made in '0', but otherwise are left input data are left as they are, and thus the specific color only is eliminated.
