A television system for transmitting two video signals, preferably for a stereoscopic picture transmission. Due to a line-sequential transmission of the frames and unmeshing during reproduction with shorter vertical deflection period per raster, the number of rasters per eye is retained and no flickering occurs due to the sequential transmission.
