摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a sufficient quantity of compressed air to be supplied at all times by providing notches on both the valve body and the valve seat of a valve for opening and closing the connection between a main combustion chamber and a fuel activation chamber, and then superimposing each of the notches to form itself into a compressed- air projecting hole in response to the operating condition of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:When an internal combustion engine is in the compression stroke, the compressed air in a main combustion chamber 2 is injected through a compressed- air introducing hole 19 into a fuel feeding hole 18, and then introduced into a fuel activation chamber 3. While, fuel is injected through a fuel injection nozzle 17 into the fuel feeding hole 18, and then, it is premixed with the compressed air in the fuel feeding hole 18 before it is injected into the fuel activation chamber 3. Hereupon, in the cases of accelerating and the like, by using a control rack 38 in a valve-body adjusting means 22, a block 23 is caused to make a swinging movement by means of a shift member 39, and at the same time, a rod 11 is caused to make a swinging movement by means of a key 29. Hereby, a valve body 10 is slid in the circumferential direction with respect to a valve seat 12 so that each of the notches 45, 49 are superimposed to form itself into a compressed-air projecting hole 50, and the quantity of compressed-air supplied is increased.
