PURPOSE:To enhance the radiating effect by a method wherein a radiating body made of a sheet metal is hollow structured to be filled with evaporable solution, glass fiber, meshed metal net and fibrous metal. CONSTITUTION:A radiating body 2 is a hollow body provided with irregularities for radiation on the surface opposite to a ceramic frame body 1. The inside of radiating body 2 is filled with glass fiber or a fine meshed metallic net or fibrous metal 4. When a semiconductor element 6 is driven, the heat generated from the element 6 is rapidly conducted to the solution 5 inside the radiating body 2 through a die bonding bump 3. The solution is evaporated to deprive enormous heat from the large surface space for externally dissipating the heat from the radiating part at the speed several hundred times faster than the heat conduction in metal. Resultantly, the heat is restrained from rising at the bump 3 to reduce the temperature rise of element 6. Through these procedures, the radiating effect can be enhanced.
