<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a movable vane from biting its peripheral wall face by forming the edge portion of the vane opposite to the other edge portion connected to its driving shaft in a tapered shape, in the movable vane forming a variable throttle for exhaust. CONSTITUTION:A movable vane 45 is turned to incline by a pin 47 to adjust a variable throttle to the narrowest opening, for example, at a location where it abuts to the wall step 36g of a vane holding member 36. In this case, the movable vane 45 has a projecting boss portion 4 coaxially with the pin 47 on the vane holding member 36 side of a base end, and also a taper portion 45b which inclines to the vane holding member 36 side from the base end toward the top end is formed on the edge portion of the top plate 38 side. And the inclination of the taper portion 45b is arranged so that the end portion on the top plate 38 side can abut to a wall step 38 even in its cold state. Thereby, in the narrowest opening of the variable throttle, leak of exhaust gas from the gap between the abovementioned and edge portion and the wall step 38h is checked and also the biting is prevented.</p> |
