PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which permits fixing at a lower temp. by using a fluorine-contg. polymer having graft structure as a low critical surface energy compd. CONSTITUTION:The fluorine-contg. polymer having the graft structure is used as the low critical surface energy compd. This fluorine-contg. polymer can be formed by polymn. of, for example, an unsatd. group-contg. condensation polymer and unsatd. monomer, polymn. of a macromonomer and unsatd. monomer, etc. The polymer in which the fluorine-contg. chain biases to either the backbone or branch is more adequate. The low surface energy part and the main part compatible with the binder resin are thereby functionally separated and the various toner characteristics are greatly improved. This toner compsn. is preferably so formed that the low surface energy compd. exists at a high concn. on the surface of the toner particles. The toner having good blocking resistance and flow property and extremely good low-temp. fixability is thereby obtd. |
