PURPOSE:To provide the title plasticizer which gives a plasticized resin compsn. having excellent migration resistance, resistance to extraction by oil and non- fogging properties and has a specified number-average MW, a specified value (x/y) as measured by a specified chromatograph and a specified value of weight- average MW/number-average MW. CONSTITUTION:A monodisperse polyester plasticizer has a number-average MW of 800-8,000, a value of x/y of 0.40 or smaller wherein x is a distance between two points each of which intersects with a graph when a line is drawn in parallel with a base line from the middle point of a perpendicular line dropped from the peak of a graph obtd. by high performance gel permeation chromatography (HGPC) and y is a distance between the peak of the perpendicular line and the base line and a value of Mw/Mn not higher than 1.6 wherein Mw is a weight-average MW within the range of x1 to x2 in the graph obtd. by HGPC and Mn is a number-average MW within said range. When said plasticizer is blended with PVC, etc., a plasticized resin compsn. having excellent migration resistance, resistance to extraction by oil, non-fogging properties, etc. can be obtd. The compsn. is suitable for use in the production of dash boards for vehicles, leather, gasoline tubes, food packaging films, etc.
