<p>An opto magnetic recording medium (1,2,3) is irradiated by a laser (4) in correspondence to information signals only after a magnetic field sufficient to invert the medium's magnetisation direction has been imposed (7,8) on the medium. A light modulator (13) normally supplies requisite drive current to a laser system (5,4) for irradiation of a recording medium but does not supply this current for a set time, e.g., determined by a monostable multivibrator, after it receives input from a signal inversion detector (12).</p> |
