PURPOSE:To easily and securely remove adverse influence of variation in ambient temperature upon a print finish by performing exposure automatically according to exposure data obtained by processing and correcting temperature data on detected ambient temperature and temperature characteristic data on a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The ambient temperature data 12 on a printer main body which is detected by a temperature sensor 1 and respective light quantity signals of negatives to be printed which are obtained by a sensor 3 for negative light measurement are sent to a central processing unit 6 from a multiplexer 4 through an A/D substrate 5. Temperature coloring data 13 on photosensitive paper which is obtained previously, on the other hand, is inputted to the central processing unit 6 through an I/O substrate 7. The proper exposure data signal obtained through the processing of the central processing unit 6 is sent to the driving circuit 8 of an exposure part through the I/O substrate 7 and this circuit 8 controls the operation of a dimming motor 9 and a shutter solenoid 10 with time to correct respective conditions automatically, thereby performing proper exposure. Consequently, a print of stable quality is obtained by well-balanced color generation at all times.
