<p>Reduction of the alkali content in cement clinker sintered through burning in a kiln is made by adding binding agents, preferably sulphurous material, during the burning process for setting the alkalis as non-volatile compounds by agglomerating the finished clinker product immediately after it having left the kiln in a roller press having a roller pressure of 300-500 MPa and by reducing the alkali content in the pressed product through leaching with water the compounds from the product followed by a drying of same. The dried low-alkali clinker product is then ground to cement.</p> |
